I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
