The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
